Trading news -BANK OF AMERICA EARNINGS BEAT, REVENUE MISSES IN Q2

Bank of America (NYSE:BAC).  is trading down 1.9% at 39.86 Bank of America (NYSE:BAC) reported on Wednesday second quarter earnings that beat analysts’ forecasts and revenue that fell short of expectations. Bank of America announced earnings per share of $1.03 on revenue of $21.47B. Analysts polled by Investing.com anticipated EPS of $0.7748 on revenue of $21.87B. Bank of America shares are up 31% from the beginning of the year, still down 8.35% from its 52 week high of $43.49 set on June 3. They are outperforming the S&P 500 which is up 16.32% from the start of the year. Overall, the Singapore MSCI up 0.77% at 353.45. Over in Hong Kong, the Hang Seng Index up 0.95% at 27,359. In Japan, the Nikkei 225 down 1.17% at 27,830, while the Topix index is down 0.94% at 1903.0. South Korea’s Kospi down 1.18% to 3212.70. Australia S&P/ASX 200 down 1.42% at 7237.5. European equities Thursday closing. The DAX futures contract in Germany traded 1.73% down at 15420.64, CAC 40 futures down 2.01% at 6396.74 and the UK 100 futures contract in the U.K. down 0.10% at 7,031.7. EUROPEAN STOCK FUTURES LOWER; OPEC+ MEETING IN FOCUS

  European stock markets are seen opening marginally lower Monday, with investors keeping a wary eye on the oil market following signs that China’s economic recovery may be slowing. At 2 AM ET (0600 GMT), the DAX Futures contract in Germany traded 0.2% lower, CAC 40 Futures  in France dropped 0.1% and the FTSE 100 Futures contract in the U.K. fell 0.1%. This, following on from Thursday’s manufacturing equivalent figure also falling in June, suggested that the recovery in the world’s second-largest economy from the  Covid-19 pandemic is starting to abate. Elsewhere, the market will be waiting for news from Vienna with a group of major oil producers set to reconvene talks aimed at finalizing output levels for the rest of the year and beyond.
